THE UNSEEN PORTFOLIOS OF SPRING 2012 + CATHERINE L. JOHNSON: “…unfolding exploration of pure improvisation…” + “…INHALE/EXHALE Life breathes…”
June 1, 2013 by catherineljohnson
After witnessing the harrowing grief
called out from my multi-media installation:
THE HALL OF LAMENT:
STAND YOUR GROUND FOR TRAYVON MARTIN,
my work rushed into life, vitality, breath.
Each was like a symphony created
in a sequence upon sequence.
The tragedy and stillness of death had hollowed me,
I needed the unfolding exploration of pure improvisation
to quicken my marrow, blood and senses.
Beginnings becoming endings becoming beginnings.
Lines become circles become spirals become whirls.
They were documented and posted on my WordPress September 2012.
They were only seen by one of my dedicated private collectors,
who, in turn, acquired one of these pivotal work.
Please open each of the links below- the portfolios are presented
in the temporal order in which each original piece was created.

Thank you.
