BroBlake:Yes, definitely at the Louvre! It is placed next to da Vinci’s Mona Lisa. The que to view my painting, Dogs (Chiens) Playing Poker winds around several levels of the museum. Americans have been known to camp out in front – to make sure they can be in front of the que. They now have security guards with timers- so many Americans were gazing at the painting and falling to their knees in ecstatic rapture. This response was a hindrance to keep ppl flowing. So there is now a two minute limit like football. The Louvre staff is confounded! Cezanne’s masterpiece, The Card Players, is at Louvre- and, yet, the Americans with their loud voices and clashing clothes insist that they spent their life savings and their college funds for their teenage kids to fly over to Paris, camp in front of the Louvre and stand in line see my painting. On velvet. Dogs Playing Poker on velvet. I am thinking of installing a light sensor so the Dogs bark and/or howl obscenities in the universal language of canine- so each viewer when passing will trigger the barks/ howls. There will be a CD to buy at the museum store so their dogs at home can have a “virtual” experience of my painting. Cool. Very.

As an artist I think it is important to please the masses and have my talents be exploited and my soul prostituted to the altar of money and the lowest common denominator. You know- no integrity. I was commissioned to do a painting for an avid hamster lover- Hamsters at the Beauty Salon Getting Pedicures (all feet). So excited. Lots of money and lots of BLING!
Thanks so much for your new interest in my art,

Once from the past when I lived my life as a breathing artist and not an entertainer creating for the honed sensibilities of the masses, improvisational live music- spontaneity- was my divining rod for me. No individual, authentic voices- economics only, no more passion or inner directed creative thinking! Now I only listen to heavily market researched “jingles” ad music for Burger King, etc., AND nothing longer than 30 seconds to comprehend and digest. You know fast food , fast art and fast music. Fast culture. Fast visionaries. Loooove the difference it has made in my soul! Fast soul!

This one association that has really turned my key! I know when you read it, you will say now that’s harmony with my sister!

No, no, not spaniels. Paint snickerdoodles. They’re trendier and more popular with the suburban crowd. (-:

Painted on black velvet with a brush held between my teeth. My arms are wicked.

HOW TO FEEL MISERABLE AS AN ARTIST:
*
2. ) TALK TO YOUR FAMILY ABOUT WHAT YOU DO AND EXPECT THEM TO CHEER YOU ON.
*
4.) STICK WITH WHAT YOU KNOW.
*
8.) ONLY DO WORK THAT YOUR FAMILY WOULD LOVE.
*
9.) DO WHATEVER THE CLIENT/GALLERY OWNER/INVESTOR/PATRON/CLUELESS FRIENDS SUGGESTS.
*
12.) CONSTANTLY COMPARE YOURSELF TO OTHER ARTISTS.

BroBlake:
Thx for the inspiration.
My arms are wicked.
I will do elliptical tonight @ Y- not use arms.
Saw you called- too tired to talk right now.
Two guys came to art crawl and saw Jaspar….and, asked permission to take HIS picture!
He posed- grinning.
He stole my show.
After the pic was taken, they did not even look at my work.
They left, happy.
I should have charged them.
The art crawl is like the state fair.
On a stick.
I will talk with you later.
I need a bit of quiet.
x C
